Rukio is the son of Runa, who is a Nekomata (cat demon), and Ganukh, a human carpenter who was often mistaken for an ogre. As a kid he traveled around mainly in the human world but recently he is living in a demon city on the human plane. His main forms of magic are Illusionary and Sound Manipulation. He has a natural ability with music, mainly singing and string instruments.
Though he is a good person and will help those in need he can come across sometimes as apathetic due to his nature of wanting to stay out of troublesome situations. Reluctant to admit it, he does have a sweet tooth but he can't stand onions. He'd say his friends would be Leemo and Tato, and sometimes, reluctantly, Apollo.
He mainly uses a guitar that his father gave him but depending on the partner he chooses he can infuse it with their magic and it can change into an entirely different string instrument for him to use.
He generally has more inner monologue about anything personal but doesn't have a hard time talking to people if he has to or wants to. His relationship with his mother is very good, one of the few people in his life that sees every side of him.
